netfabb GmbH - founded in 2009 - is a spin-off software company dedicated to offer software solutions tailored for the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing industry. Manufacturing Technologies have improved tremendously over the past years - while common software tools still remain monolithic and single part-based. In 2008 the netfabb team, trained by 15 years of experience in the rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, teamed up to bring up new ideas and to develop a software suite for the next generation of Additive Manufacturing.
NETFABB技術說明:
The Selective Space Structures (3S) software is a software for the creation of complex repetitive structures such as lattice structures.
Many cell types can be combined and the cell distribution can be automated with a script module. The Script Module offers an extraordinarily elegant solution to the automatic generation of complex structures, paving the way for a variety of intelligent applications. The model size of complex structures are fractions of a percent compared with traditional CAD. This enable RP and RM machines to load and build even very large and complex structural parts. Estimated file size in the stl-format for the 3.5 m tall LS tree exceed 1,000,000 MB. With 3S the total file size of the tree was just 1,700 MB, less than 0.2% of *.stl.
To create large structures in CAD or to prepare the job on stl-format is a very bad idea. The workload involved will be overwhelming and very very costly.
